I Miss…

tumblr_lm3rln3jNj1qbi3p8o1_500

The strength of a man standing at my side.
The unexpected kiss on my temple. I miss hands on my cheeks, when his lips touch mine. His gentle strength that guides me through the crowd.

I miss the feeling of being safe, tucked under his arm. I miss pausing to gaze at his hand holding the door. I miss the scent that stays in my sheets when he’s gone. I miss sleeping in the shirt he left behind.

I miss being pulled in tight when it wasn’t time. I miss hearing his heart beat in the still of the night. I miss being awakened by a touch so light. I miss the look that he gives me from across the room.

I miss when he moves my hair to the side, so his lips can leave a kiss goodbye. I miss the sound that he makes when I touch his side. I miss the warmth of his breath on a cold winter day, warming my neck, wanting to stay.

I miss feeling his skin come alive in the room. The energy we create only inches away. I miss feeling him lose complete control, as our bodies start to feel a flow. I miss dancing in a quiet room, candles, music, slight perfume.

I miss having a man care for my soul, holding my heart not wanting to go.

I miss…

Intimacy…

Holding-hands3

Intimacy…the ultimate sexy! Being drawn to someone without control is a feeling that many of us only experience once in a lifetime. It’s a magical force between two who connect on a much deeper level. It’s not just about sexual chemistry, although that too can be very intimate. Pure intimate feelings come from a much deeper place. A touch of the hand while staring into the eyes of someone who sees right inside your soul is intimate. A feeling of belonging together formed from a bond of experiencing the other.

There are two types of intimacy; physical and emotional. Love is intertwined in both. There are also two types of love within intimacy; compassionate and passionate. Compassionate love involves diminished feeling of attachment to the other. It is authentic, committed with profound feelings of caring for the other. Passionate love is identified by infatuation, intense feelings of sexual longing, throes of ecstasy and feelings of exhilaration that fill the room when you are together. To have a combination of both physical and emotional intimacy with passionate love is what most of us are ultimately seeking.

It’s a look across a room filled with people to that one person who turns you inside out and back again. A gaze that is only meant for you. A moment suspended in time. They know exactly what you’re thinking. It’s the magic of an intimate connection.

When we open our heart and expose ourselves making it known we are vulnerable to the other we experience the most profound intimate moments. It can’t be controlled, even if you try. You can walk away physically but your mind won’t allow you to leave the room they’re in. It can be a scary step if you’re not ready to open yourself to its entirety. A risk that many will not allow their heart to explore.

When you fall intimately for another human being they live inside your mind. They change the physiology of your body. They stir your soul. You become enveloped by their energy. They surround you no matter how far their physical form is from yours. They stand next to you inhaling your presence. It’s a powerful sensation that can overwhelm the ordinary.

Intimacy is considered the product of a successful seduction…so sexy!

2014 The Year of Being Content!

IMG_6589
IMG_6568Relaaaaaax…what could go wrong? We spend so much time thinking and not doing, holding back, not taking chances. We fear the unknown, we hide our eyes, we no longer seek the truth, we wait and worry.

Music takes me to that far away place my soul calls home. As I savour a glass of red and write that ember that hides deep within my existence starts to grow. I must admit life feels rather good at the moment. I am open. I am free. I seek the truth and drift into the clouds.

It’s healthy to escape the chaos…necessary even. Music is the instrument that helps me get there. I can feel myself letting go of all the trivial things that build up throughout the day as I sit surrounded by a melody. I have a warm glow radiating from a place that has felt dormant lately, a place I can usually escape to in a moment of silence. Silence, a place becoming extinct within us. A place we don’t visit often enough. Finding that silence is like going home.

The evening starts to unravel as my thoughts dance with my imagination. The sound escorts my worries away. In this moment I let go. I am able to quiet the noise and hear the beauty in my solitude. Free of everything that keeps me grounded, It’s time to sit amidst the clouds and contemplate my existence once again.

I think we all need to sit and remember that our time here is limited, before we know it we will be moving on. Times up, take chances, do what you love, make a difference, change a life, share, give, love. Just be, no judgment, no worry, no restrictions, no boundaries, float through the day with whomever crosses your path.

Be open to the sound of silence.

I have relaxed a great deal over the years but lately I feel different. I feel content to share the room, or not. I don’t feel as though I should be doing anything other than what I am, right now in this moment. I have surrendered to the Universe with not a worry in the world.

This magical ride we call life is ours to create. We choose who we share it with. We choose where we explore. We choose.

Entice all your senses as your journey begins in a New Year where endless possibilities are waiting to be uncovered.

Listen, See, Feel, Touch, Taste, Trust and most of all Love with your entire Heart ~

Happy New Year!

Painting Our Canvas in Life!

lifeisacanvas-piccsydotcom Photo on 13-01-30 at 2.43 PMLife can be unpredictable and change completely from one moment to the next. We never really know how long we have. We don’t know for sure what happens next. There are no guarantees in life as to where our path will lead us or who will walk beside us on our journey. I do believe we meet individuals along the way that guide us and teach us not only about life but about ourselves. Every now and then we meet someone who changes us in a powerful way. They remind us to live in the moment and trust.

“The best way to find out if you can trust somebody is to trust them.” ~Ernest Hemingway

Would you enter into a relationship knowing that it had a pending time limit attached to it? I would. Life is about the essence of time we have with someone regardless of the clock ticking in the distance. If you knew your partner only had a certain amount of time left on this planet, wouldn’t you live each day different? Time passes by so quickly and we all get side tracked in life and forget to ‘live’. We hold onto things that really don’t matter. We don’t always make the most of our life experiences.

You are the only one who can paint the picture you wish your life to be. Be BOLD, making every stroke count whether you choose broad or delicate ones! You decide which colours of the rainbow to add to your canvas. Dip your brush fearlessly and see your picture come alive! Your brush is an extension of you, the paint is a mix of life experience and those we meet along the way. It’s up to you to create the picture that is as unique as you are.

“Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.”  ~Oscar Wilde

Have you ever experienced moments in time where you had to pause and capture an overwhelming visual imagine in your memory, knowing it was seconds away from passing? Moments like this only happen when you let go and allow yourself to see and feel what life has to offer. Moments forever in our minds, memories we keep forever!

Every now and then we get a little reminder of how magical life really is. The beauty is all around us if we have the courage to open our eyes and let our life wash over us. Only then can your picture be painted in it’s truest form.

What ever you are doing, stop and look around you. Touch the person beside you or smile at the woman across the room. Connect with another human being! Take the chance that your heart will be touched like never before, even if it doesn’t last forever it will still stay with you as long as you choose to nurture the thought and energy that goes along with it.

“Thoughts become things, choose the good ones” ~ Notes from the Universe.

When Chemistry Heats Up ~

Sexual chemistry can heat up soon after our first impression of the opposite sex or same sex. We are attracted to different traits and have a unique list of personal preferences. We tune into every little detail. We begin profiling subconsciously, looking at ones health, confidence, how one walks, talks, mannerisms and their aura to name a few. It can be as detailed as the timbre, pitch and tone of ones voice, scent, or simply the way their eyes look deep into ours. We all have a different list that draws us closer to an individual.

Then there is the release of those wonderfully sensual pheromones we can’t hide from if we tried. They draw us in closer. I love this part because it become more personal. The main reason I believe you NEED to meet someone in the flesh to see if their pheromones draw you closer or repel you. We instinctively sense whether we are able to connect or not, allowing our union to go a step further.

Depending on your frame of mind or circumstances we can either have chemistry explode right in front of us when we first shake hands or it could be a slight delay waiting until just the right moment to ignite. Shyness or lack of confidence on either the male or female side can delay chemistry from mixing which inevitably leads us down the path of intimacy is we so choose. Timing is key. Keeping in mind that although you find a man or woman attractive it doesn’t mean you will have that spark that goes deep beneath the surface.

When initial attraction takes a sharp turn heading straight for your loins there is no other feeling quite like it…sexual chemistry can’t be faked! You know exactly what I’m talking about if you’ve experienced the real deal…if not let me describe it best I can 😉

It’s an electric sensation that sparks from eye contact when you don’t look away. It sends a flutter into the pit of your stomach making you feel slightly off balance. The sensation surges through your entire body. You experience a surge of adrenaline, exhilaration and fright in waves each time your eyes connect. His energy swirls around your body sending the urge to reach out and touch him. It’s an adrenaline rush that quickens your pulse and gives you tunnel vision intensifying your touch, sense of smell and taste. You are tuned into his frequency allowing you to hear his breath from a distance giving you the strong desire to be close. You notice small details like the subtle bite of his lip as he stares straight into and through the windows of your soul. His hands give off an energy that vibrates at the same rate as yours…you are in sync.

When you have undeniable sexual chemistry with someone it’s hard to stay focused on anything but them, especially in a room full of bodies. You are distracted by their movement, smell and sound of their voice. You find them inside your head everywhere you go. You are completely and utterly out of control. Embrace this feeling as it is most intense when the union is new, changing slightly as feelings grow. Add trust and comfort to sexual chemistry and an explosion will knock you both to the ground!

Moments of attraction to the opposite sex can heat up with a simple glance in the right direction…don’t be in a hurry to look away, embrace them, for you are alive!

Sexual chemistry is just the base of the beginning…

Lead the Change ~

When I originally saw this picture on Facebook I had to share it with all my friends because I loved the quote. I googled The African Yoga Project, which I wrote about yesterday on our Sunday Svaha Spirit Series if you want to be inspired! I have always wanted to join a Yoga class but never seem to find the time, now I plan on making the time because of this project!

Inner Peace and Well-being are what we all strive for, isn’t it? No matter where you live or what you do, race, religion, gender, marital status, we could all benefit from being balanced internally! From within is where our lives are guided…in my opinion.

“What is your gift and are you giving it away?” Everyday we have opportunities to share what we have with those around us. Giving ~ we ‘have’ to give, it’s contagious and changes the energy that surrounds not only the one who gives but the one who receives as well. It creates a ripple effect, an energy that radiates good feelings. I am not just referring to the giving of material items.

“The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away.” Your gift is as unique as you are. An Artist for example has the gift of creativity, he is able to use his imagination or simply recreate what his eyes see before him. A writers strings the perfect combination of words together that can inspire, captivate, seduce, provoke thought, create change or simply allow us to get lost for a moment in time. A Doctor gives the gift of life or helps us understand when it’s taken away. The Elderly give the gift of life experience to younger generations. Children give the gift of pure naivety we all love and miss as we mature. Each of us is born into this world with a gift worthy of giving, whether it be a story, life experience, support, advice, opinion, love or a simple hug.

Give a smile. Touch someones heart with a kind gesture. Compliment a stranger and see what happens. Encourage someone who appears to be struggling. A few kind words has a way of giving someone the inspiration to go the distance when they didn’t think they could. Giving ones self is so easy and basic.

When you feel balanced internally life flows more naturally. Inner peace and well being starts from within, sometimes it can’t be seen but it can be felt by those around you by the energy you radiate. Yoga is a great start in the right direction!

Human Touch ~

Skin on Skin…there’s simply no better feeling than the touch of another human being. The light gentle stroke of the index finger following the natural curves of the body like a brush across a blank canvas, painting with sensations that move us! Touching the exposed skin of another human being is something so pure and blissful. The plump little cheeks of a baby or the curve of a women’s breast, are equally inviting to touch. Lose yourself with me for a moment right now and remember a moment when human touch brought shivers up your spine…

The moment we’re born our senses come alive. Sight and hearing develop slower than touch so the feeling of love and touch merge as one, a sensation so strong it’s remembered forever. We simply don’t thrive or fair well without it. From that moment on we use touch to expand and unfold, learning through feeling and being curious by nature. We watch and learn from our parents to see how they touch and interact. Affection is infectious! We mimic what we see. I saw and experienced deep love growing up, which I am forever grateful!

We crave the touch of another human being throughout our lives. It’s such a powerful sense that bonds us to one another. Touch adds a spice that flavours the union between the male and female energy. Touch is communication without words. It stimulates feelings. It reassures, relaxes, comforts, arouses, reduces fears and anxieties and dissipates loneliness. It can be more powerful than hearing the words…”I love you.”

We hold back our touch when our children enter their teens, thinking it’s not welcomed. They naturally pull away trying to sort out their surging hormones. It’s never easy to let go of our babies. If touch is held back for too long, they begin to feel starved and look elsewhere for that human contact they so desire. Touch may not occur as often as parents would like, but even brief moments help us stay connected.

When girlfriends are affectionate to one another, it strengthens their bond. Simply touching the hand of the elderly can send a warm unconditional feeling of love throughout their entire body. Animals are not exempt when it comes to touch, they thrive when we give them our love.

Falling asleep with your partners arms wrapped around you…touch. Wake up looking for them with your hands, feet and body…touch. Subconsciously getting drawn back into them when you drift apart during the night…touch. Human touch is craved when we are without it for too long. We yearn for the powerful feeling it sends from our core to the tip of our extremities. It can be hard to resist.

Spend the rest of the day conscious of who you touch and how it makes you feel. I guarantee your warmth is not only felt but accepted and embraced with an open heart.

We explore the world with all of our senses but touch is the ultimate sense. An act of love, a way of communicating without words.

Explore All Your Senses…

I see you ~ Have you ever met someone who sees you clearer than any other human being on the planet…including yourself.  It can be your best friend, parent, lover or partner. Seeing someones true self is a very intimate connection, that takes time. Not everyone is an open book or easily read which makes it harder, and not everyone is able or wants to expose their true self to others. Every now and then we meet that special person who sees right past our exterior to the juicy centre of who we truly are. When someone does see you for who you are, it makes you accountable to yourself. They become your second conscience. These unique human beings make us want to be better people.

I hear you ~ We all want our voice to be heard. In order to hear you must listen. Listening is the key to any good relationship in my eyes. Listening is learning and learning is what life is all about. Listen, learn, understand and accept the words you hear. Be open.

I feel you ~ When you open yourself to those around you, you become in-tune with their energy. Energy from a connection with another human being can be felt without even touching the surface of our skin. I feel you is more than physical.

Touching without words can be one of the most sensual forms of communicating. Human touch bonds us, heals us and releases endorphins more powerful than morphine. It can be a simple touch of the arm or a powerful embrace with someone we feel a strong connection to.

I taste you ~ Taste can be bitter, sweet, savoury or salty. Each of us has all those elements waiting to be shared.

I breathe you ~ Scent of the skin, a subtle fragrance, aromatherapy. Pheromones working their magic can be exhilarating. Each individual has their own unique scent that no other can replicate. The essence of who you are is within your skin.

Sixth sense ~ Intuition is what speaks to us when our other senses are clouded by circumstance…or life for that matter. Instinct can be so strong it can’t be ignored or just an whisper that brushes lightly by our skin. It’s the one thing in life you can trust if you open yourself to it.

We forget to open all of our senses to the world around us. If we do I think we experience life on an entirely different level. See, hear, feel, taste and breath in each day to live life to its fullest.
