Svaha Spirit Series ~ A Short Love Story
It is still February. Still the month of love.
I found this stop motion film to be very sweet and charming. It was created by Carlos Lascano an Argentine director and writer, mainly known for his works in animation and illustration. I can’t imagine how many hours of work go into a stop motion film like this one but I sure appreciate the outcome. Wow, there is a lot of content and meaning in those short 3 minutes. Thank you Carlos Lascano!

Lovely! Very Tim Burtonesque in parts…
Thanks, Bon. Beautiful score, as well.

What a beautiful tale. I agree, Jacquie. The score is amazing!
I took animation in high school so I have a bit of an idea how laborious this style of animation is but it is my favorite.
The YouTube video was cutting out at 0:58 for me, but I found it on Vimeo. The great thing about this site, is that the artists has posted some pics showing a bit of this process. It really adds to the viewing pleasure of this film, and helps us get an idea of the work involved.
Amazing! Thanks as always, for sharing this beautiful piece. I don’t know how I have not seen it until two years after it was originally posted.
I am always the last one to know. lol
