Svaha Spirit Series ~ ‘Hallelujah’

First I would like to wish all the Wonderful Dads a Happy Father’s Day! Enjoy your day doing what ever it is you love to do! Happy Father’s Day Dad, I love you!

K.D. Lang sung Leonard Cohen’s ‘Hallelujah’ at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics, which was one of my favourite parts of the opening ceremonies. What a voice this woman has! Lang also sang it when Cohen was being inducted into the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2006.

Of that rendition, Cohen’s partner, singer Anjani Thomas, said: “After hearing K.D. Lang perform that song at the Canadian Songwriter’s Hall of Fame in 2006 we looked at each other and said, “Well, I think we can lay that song to rest now! It’s really been done to its ultimate blissful state of perfection.” I couldn’t agree more, enjoy!

  1. Thank – You Tracy !

It’s not really a day that Dad’s should be rewarded. It takes a lot of hard work to be a good Dad but, we as Dad’s …. and Mom’s ….. should be thankful that we have the God given privilege of being a parent. What a wonderful journey it is …. sometimes sad, sometimes difficult, sometimes confusing but, ALWAYS rewarding ! The Little … and later Big voices of children saying ” I Love You ” It just doesn’t get any better than that !

I would like to take this opportunity to say Happy Father’s Day ! to all those Dad’s that are Dad’s to those kids that are not their blood related children ….. those are the Dad’s that should be celebrated today. ” Anyone Can Be A Father, Only Special men can be a DAD !

    • You are absolutely right Rick, it is a privilege to be a parent, and it is a journey like no other! Becoming a Mother of two is the BESt thing I have done! I hope you had a wonderful Father’s Day, you are a very giving Dad! T 🙂
