My Dr moved on to helping "old people", and now I don't have one. Thanks for the reminder that all "Vaginas" look the same. I quotation because...that's what they are...I love va-j'j's, but...they are what they are...My son is almost 12, and last night I watched my PVR (from ages ago from Oprah and the "Sex talk"), and realize...my 11 almost 12 year old knows some, but not all of what he should. So...I need to suck it up, and have a PAP smear, and (lord) who cares who'se looking...BTW, we gave our son the option of "mom&dad talk", just"dad", or just "mom". I am proud to say he chose......."mom and dad" Thank God!, now that may be bad, but I have to say - my husband and I come from families who...I don't know..aren't open? Doug says "anteater or helmut" , and I'm like..."OMG" Love my husband, but I think I am more open/realistic. Seriously, think they were both "relieved".... I'm going to do the same. My mom once had a tech who forgot to release the pressure before she stepped out of the room for a minute. My mom didn't say anything. I would have been screaming for her to return for sure. I also have a great South African male doc. He's great too! My doctor before him once took a phone call in the middle of my pap. Um...I'm a little vulnerable here doc! Sheesh! I'm glad you are serious about your skin protection now and you know I'll be reminding you while you visit me this summer.
