They just ARE. They sometimes betray us by making us react in a way we know we shouldn't ~ but that just means we're human. It does hurt when you know someone you care about, or were hoping would care about you, isn't that into you. It <em>IS</em> personal. Rejoice in the fact that hurting means you still desire the connection with another human being. You know the potential is still there and your heart isn't closed.
