As an artist, one of my favourite things to do is experiment. I’ve taken lots of different materials and turned them into funky mosaics. Quilting was a passion for a while. Right now I’m working on a series of oil paintings using traditional materials, as well as Venetian plaster and silver ink. I have absolutely no musical ability, but if I did, I’d probably want to spend my time creating mash ups. They’re delicious!
Queen vs Green Day Novocaine Rhapsody!
This one was one of the best of 2009. 80′s pop singer mashed up with the quintessential 90′s grunge band
Shakira, Britney Spears and the Bee Gees Whenever, whenever, Saturday Night Fever and Toxic
Snoop Dog vs Led Zeppelin! Don’t worry. This one’s good and has been edited for general viewing…
And one more really fun one featuring Whitney Houston vs Stevie Wonder called It’s Not Right, But Isn’t This Lovely
A great mash up not only combines songs that fit well together musically, but also work in the lyrics department. I’ve had so much fun finding these and I hope they made you smile.

That’s a hoot! I love Queen and Green Day so that was my fave. The Queen video brings me back to the old days of watching Saturday Night Live and then Wolfman Jack’s Midnight Special. That was the only way to get a glimpse of our favourite musicians–other than in concert–before the days of MTV and Much Music.
That’s really neat!
That was fun! Out of these I have to say Snoop Dog vs Led Zeppelin is my fav. I also looked up Blonde vs The Doors, lovvvve it, ya gotta love Jim Morrison! Rapture Riders.

Those were all fun!
Rick Astley! What ever happened to him? Kurt Cobain would probably roll over in his grave to see that mash up. OMG, remember when everyone used to dance like Astley? Too funny!
I just want to be able to move my hips like Shakira when I grow up. More Zumba!
I love mash up’s (when they’re done well)! Have you heard any of DJ Danger Mouse’s mash ups of the Beatles and Jay Z?
Here’s an example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JbXLp2z6xL4
love this soooooooooooooo much!
