Jacquie, THANK-YOU!! I didn’t realize that I’d let myself get into a bit of a slump — pressure of ‘things to make and do’ — until I beheld those glorious colors!! What a lift I got! The ‘poppies’ and the Finn’s Slough scene are my favorites. And yes, they do remind me of your style, Jake. I personally find the ‘Granville Island’ scene just a little too busy but Brian Scott sure knows all about the impact of colors beautifully used. For its — dammit, I can’t think of the word, spacial design (!) I prefer the painting you have of that scene…can’t recall the artist. Omigosh, I’m going to have only four hours sleep; I’ll be setting the alarm for seven a.m. in order to catch the Men’s Semifinals of the Roland Garros ‘Paris Open’ Tennis. I’m sad that my hero of the last two years, Rafa (Rafael Nadal of Spain) lost to the Swedish giant in the Quarterfinals. But it was a fair test. Anyone out there interested? I think the final on Sunday is likely to be between Federer and the Swede, Soderling.
PS. I have a GORGEOUS photo of Rafa which I wish I could include here but I don’t know how. More’s the pity. Besides being a great athlete he’s a really great guy — and quite a dreamboat as well. Jacquie, I’m going to send the photo to you; will you be able to insert it for me? And so to bed.

Yeah, I guess the whole ‘who gets the car’ thing is pretty normal. They forget it’s not the ‘family’ car but mine and I get right of first refusal.

Funny T. Yesterday I had Sam drive to get milk at 7:25 a.m. in exchange for the car! LOL
And tomorrow she has to clean the bathrooms if she wants it for the evening. Great leverage!

Beautiful Art thanks for sharing Jake!! How about next time we see some more of yours !! I remember when I got my drivers license all I wanted to do was drive to the store for milk or whatever my mom wanted! Another form of adult freedom kicking in! love your post too! You are so in the moment with your writing!

Fantastic post Jacquie! I love this flamboyant mood of yours. You had me chuckling all the way through.

I definitely like Brian Scott’s work and, yes, I got a charge out of it. I even like how he incorporated his name into “Poppies Spring Glacier”. That’s my fav by the way. It must be the vibrant colour. Funny…when you look at my home you’d think I was afraid of colour. Note to self: More colour please!
