Would He Catch a Grenade for Ya?

Would your man catch a grenade for ya…throw his hand on a blade for ya…jump in front of a train for ya…take a bullet straight through his brain for ya…do anything for ya? These lyrics remind us how powerful love can be. Most people don’t experience this kind of passion in their love, and as shown in Bruno’s video it’s not always reciprocated. Imagine for a moment how incredible it would feel if you knew without a doubt, your man would give his life for you!

Have you ever felt this kind of love for someone? Your blessed if you have. Once you’ve had love this powerful it’s hard to settle for anything less. My Dad would do every verse Bruno writes about for my Mom! It makes me smile just thinking about how powerful their love is. I am sure that after 60 odd years together on some days he may feel like catching the grenade and setting it down quietly behind her…:) (lol) or pushing her in front of the train, but if it really came down to it, he would die for her, and that’s gotta feel good.

The Power of Love!

It’s no secret that I’m a romantic, being born on Valentine’s Day was no coincidence! I would bathe in love if it were possible! You have to admit the feeling of being in love changes the way you view everything. Love conquers all. Without Lovethere is nothing. When you feel love for someone this strong, you would do anything for them! It’s a selfless act, being in love.

Not everyone experiences love to such a degree, and no one likes to be rejected when it comes to love, but if you don’t take chances and risk it all, you will never know if it was love. If you do follow your heart, it will lead you to where you are meant to be which can change your life forever!

What’s the most romantic thing a man or woman has done for you, or said to you?

I had a man confess “he would have climbed Everest for me!” Now that’s romantic…sigh 🙂

Happy Birthday James!

Happy Birthday James! I can’t believe how time flies. You were my very first impression of what it would be like to have a child. Living with you and your Mom was a time in my life I will always look back on and smile. You’re an incredible soul and I love you with all my heart! I have memories that I will cherish forever! You’re my Best friends child, it doesn’t get much better than that! I wish you the BEST Birthday ever! Be safe always and never live with any regret…any big regret! lol I can’t believe your 21! Your Mom and I were in Australia when I turned 21 and all I can say is YIKES! I know you’re more mature than we ever were, crossing my fingers right now in hopes you are! xo

Watching you play your guitar and sing is a highlight in times we have spent together. (playing hide the stinky socks was fun too) (Wiping your butt @ 3 I could have done without, I was totally set up on that!  lol) You are amazing! When I am missing you I drop in to your Facebook page not to creep or judge but to get my James fix. I always love it when you link to music.

I love finding new music. I should clarify, new music for ME. I have been know to be stuck when it comes to tunes, and this is a perfect example, I will admit I thought Train was New! I am not up to date with the music world and couldn’t sing a song in tune if my life depended on it, but I’m willing to at least give it a try. I went off on Facebook saying I recorded myself singing “Hey Soul Sister” but I regret to tell you, it’s wayyy too embarrassing to post. I know what I like, I just don’t know who they are and the name of the song. I also have a tendency to play my new favourite songs to death, drives everyone around me crazy. I think maybe subconsciously I hope I will be able to remember the song if I hear it a bazillion times, no such luck. Thanks James for the music links. I would love to hear your version of this song, I know it would be incredible.

Happy Birthday James, enjoy every moment of the day it’s all about celebrating YOU and that is something to celebrate!!! We love you! A-T and family! xo

Crank it up ~

Happy Birthday James!

“Calling All Angels”

There has been a lot of turmoil in our world lately, but it’s still important to stop what you’re doing and take a break from your daily grind. Whether you call a friend, sip on a warm cup of herbal tea, take the dog for a walk or paint, it’s a great way to get inspired to keep going. I like to stop and listen to music, I call it my “Musical Interlude”. ( like stopping to smell the roses but with your ears!) Press pause for a moment and listen to the words of the song “Calling All Angels” by Train .

I think we all need to put a call into our ‘Angels’ to help those in need right now.

Don’t forget to tune into Global for the 44 th Annual Variety Show of Hearts Telethon starting @ 7 pm Jan 30th, it’s for a great cause with lots of great inspiration!

Now crank it and enjoy this Musical Interlude with me ~

I just found this description of this song, it’s just PERFECT, here it is:

‘That in the time of great confusion, loss, and disorientation, one does not call for redemption, but asks for a sign of inspiration, for the courage to not surrender to despair. It’s a tome about hope against the odds, acknowledging vulnerability, and accepting responsibility to remain focused and critical enough to win one’s own redemption in everyday life, in order to become a better human being’.
