Music is the Cure…

First I must thank Bonnie and Jacquie for the beautiful surprise of having Lawrence join us yesterday by adding his voice which I have loved since the day we connected. My heart is overflowing!  I have so many wonderful people in my life to be grateful for…Thank you all for making my day special! xo

I love listening to music. For me Music is the cure to everything. Music adds an element to life that I think without it, would be flat. When you mix your favourite tunes with pretty much anything I think it opens something up in your mind letting in a creative energy that can’t help but inspire. Words inspire, but when accompanied by music…they embody the feelings. It clears my mind, exhilarates my body and makes my spirit soar!

My favourite is listening to music live. There is something about watching the passion in another human being as they create or play music. It’s a gift that eluded me unfortunately. 🙁 I couldn’t sing to save my life, and although I’ve tried strumming the acoustic guitar, it is much more difficult than it looks. Drums…not sure how anyone can coordinate doing 4 things at different speeds all at the same time, that boggles my mind. I am okay with being the one who sits and enjoys listening to others play their passion. It’s when you can turn off your touch, smell, sight, taste and just focus on listening…

I am drawn to musician, and not just the handsome variety, the female energy also. I am envious of their ability to create something so beautiful.

Music can change or enhance any mood your in. Enya makes me fantasize about ball room dancing and Madonna makes me not give a fat babies ass (to quote PitBull) what anyone thinks of me. Rob Thomas’s ‘smooth’ vocals melt me. Enigma as Bonnie has posted about in the past is the Best Music to Have Sex To (Bonnies words and post not mine…ya I know!) giggle!

I love finding new music, it’s why I watch the Grammy’s, they were awesome by the way if you missed them on Sunday night! I was just turned onto Walk Off The Earth…simply awesome! Such a creative group of musicians who went viral overnight! Magic!

Music is the cure to all lifes trials and tribulations…in my opinion.

Musicians are Sexy…  (my post from All Things Sexy and Silver…it just seemed to fit)

There is something overwhelmingly sexy about a man who can create music. “Music is how feeling sound”...(one of my favourite quotes) Woman are drawn to men who can express feeling, whether it be through the simplicity of words strung together, or a melody that pulls at our heart strings. When a man learns to read the music of a womens heart he captures her.

“Music is the art of sound in time that expresses ideas and emotions in significant forms through the elements of rhythm, melody, harmony and colour.” A man who can create feelings with his unique interpretation of those elements has a powerful presence. Is it the man that seduces us or do we open ourselves to the poetic features of music and allow the man to enter because he holds a key? Music is a form of expression more unique than language, it adds the element of vibrationally energy that although we can’t all create, we have an insatiable desire to hear and feel it.

Music allows us to open our minds, to a level of consciousness far beyond what we are used to. When we open our mind, body and spirit to it, our soul dances. When we open our mind body and spirit to the one who creates the music we dance together.

The mind of a musician is on a frequency that’s invisible to some. When a single note is released it affects us like a scent traveling through the atmosphere until it become a mere whisper. It touches each of us in a unique way, taking us to places we’ve been before and those we have yet to explore. Allow yourself the pleasure of getting lost in the music, or the musician who is creating it. Make a Memory ~

Musicians captivate crowds with their art form that allows the listener to join with them on their intimate journey of interpretation. They surrender to the music as they perform. We connect with then as we allow our feeling to surface as we listen. The vibrational rhythm is not only heard, it’s felt by every cell of our body transcending us to a place that feels like no other.

It’s one thing in life I wouldn’t want to live without.

Music is the prelude to everything…

I Couldn’t Resist ‘Pink’ and Cosmo!

There I was this morning standing in the grocery line up buying snacks I could do without, when this months Cosmo cover caught my eye. I was instantly distracted like a child by something shiny. My inner voice said “oooooo Pink. I LOVE Alecia Beth Moore! She exudes self confidence. After watching her perform ‘Glitter in the Air’ at the Grammy’s I think she singlehandedly brought sexy to a new level! The audience watched in awe as Pinks holy water showered down on them. I don’t think one person cared if their designer outfit got sprayed because they were so caught up in the moment! I was blown away with her all-or-nothing risk taking personality! She NEVER lip syncs, doesn’t believe in it, she’s the real deal! Love this woman’s voice, so raw, sexy and powerful, yet sometimes she sounds so vulnerable. Her interview was awesome! She is continually pushing the envelope, sometimes she even opens it up and peeks inside!

I am getting off track, I bought Cosmo but admit I was a little embarrassed as I reached for it, I usually get More Magazine for Women in their 40’s because, well I am in my 40’s. Cosmo grabbed my attention first because of Pink and second because of the headlines of what was inside! I don’t know what I was thinking I haven’t got time to sit and lolly-gag reading Cosmo but I guess that’s why they market it like they do, for women like me who can’t help themselves! Seriously, I still haven’t read my subscription of Martha Stewart Magazine from 10 years ago. And I have a new one for Women’s Health I’ve yet to get through! Can anyone relate?

Here are the Headlines that even I couldn’t resist!

* 75 Sex Tips From Guys ( Sizzling, Sinful, and Surprising Things They’re Craving Now) ~  Can you say HOT, and there are 75 of them!

* Stuck in Neutral (Gutsy Little Moves That Will Make Your Life Awesome) ~ Basically start saying “Yes” when you would normally have said “No” Sounds like a plan to me! It’s always good to do something out of your ordinary. Get out of your comfort zone for even just a day!

* Girl Traits No Man Can Resist ~ Leave something to the imagination! Love this advice!

*Orgasm Guaranteed (This Simple Mind Trick Takes You From “Almost” There to There!)~ I’ll cut to the chase on this one, climaxing just by thinking! The mind is a powerful tool, so basically thinking about what color you want to change the bedroom to while your making whoopee with your significant other is NOT what you should be doing. If you actually think about what you are doing as apposed to what you will be doing at a later date (living in the moment) you will get you there a lot quicker. For most women climaxing without touch is difficult but worth a try if you ask me!

*100 Facts Your Gyno Should Have Told You ~ There was a lot of great info in this article, but nothing suitable for Tara, you will have to pick up a copy of Cosmo for this one!

When I buy a magazine I usually flip through it quick to see what’s inside, look at pictures, and then after I see what the content is I start to read the articles that grab my attention first. It’s been awhile since I have picked up a Cosmo (my twenties) but I have to say it definitely grabbed my attention and had interesting content to back it up! Mostly oriented around Sex but hey what’s wrong with that!

For those who would like to watch “Glitter in the Air” here you are…enjoy ~
