I was just about to go to Starbucks for a latte but I called Gavin over to watch this video. His response “Does that mean you’ll go to McDonald’s for a coffee?” wasn’t what I expected to hear.
There’s nothing wrong with wanting to sip your coffee from a beautiful china mug. The problem, as pointed out in the video, begins when you start looking at the other people sipping near you and comparing their mugs to yours. Being happy with what you have without always wanting to one-up the next guy is what’s important to remember.
Ha ha Gavin!
I saw this a few years back and remembered thinking so true. Good reminder Bonnie.
I love that you chose to put your picture where you are just natural Sally Safety! It fits perfectly! And that you are wearing the old life jacket, not the cool black one! lol
I love this, so true, as I sip my Esquires latte! I’ve never been one to even care to keep up with the Joneses! I like to dance to the beat of my own drum!
So was it a Starbucks Jacquie or McDonalds?
I’m a loyal ‘Bucks fan… : )
Keeping up with the Joneseses’s is way too hard. Why bother? It’s much more fun being an original. Right now I’m sipping on a homemade coffee … beans from Safeway. I prefer them to buying the Starbucks espresso for home brews. Go figure!
Gavin got hooked on Mickey D’s when they had the free morning coffee promo a while back. So now he’s found out he can get a coffee, muffin AND a Province newspaper for, what is it? $1.78! And he puts it on Visa! Too funny…he loves their coffee… in paper, of course.
I like to dance to the beat of my own drum!
says Tracy..
And she wonders who Jo takes after.lol
Nice video and great reminder ! Thanks !
(Tim Horton’s for me)
